Joo Won at Bun House: 2 Months Only
You’ve heard plenty about the 2 KFCs (that’s Kentucky and Korean Fried Chicken). Now it’s time to talk about JFC – Joo’s Fried Chicken! But first of all – who is Joo?
From 5 August to 4 October, Chinatown London’s Bun House will welcome chefs Joo Won and Cho Sujin for a 2 month pop-up. Expect a signature menu of South Korean and European inspired dishes to share.
Who are Joo Won and Cho Sujin?

With roots in Busan in South Korea, Joo moved across the world to London in 2000 to learn more about western cooking. As former Head Chef of Galvin at Windows, Joo was able to experiment with the menu and brought “a little accent of Korea” to otherwise very traditional European dishes.
Cho Sujin is a renowned pastry chef with experience at The Wolseley and The Delaunay. She’ll be accompanying her husband Joo Won in his latest venture after a recent sell-out residency at Carousel.
What to look forward to:

One of Joo’s signature dishes: “JFC” consists of succulent chicken thighs deep fried in a secret batter, accompanied with gochujang, ginger, honey and apple and topped with creamy cashews and coriander. It’s absolutely delicious and probably unlike any other fried chicken you’ve tried before.

Thinly sliced, lightly cured grey mullet served in a sesame, chilli and plum soy sauce.

Joo and Sujin’s new take on an Italian classic: kimchi and cheddar risotto topped with poached egg and seaweed crisp.

For those with a sweet tooth: dark chocolate cremeaux with yuzu compote, hoji tea and toasted grain cream.
If the selection above wasn’t enough, there will also be exceptionally curated natural wine list to tempt you!
