Opium’s new cocktail menu is written in the stars

We see in our crystal ball that you will try Opium’s mouth-watering new zodiac inspired cocktails…
Purveyor of seriously luscious libations, Opium have just launched a spectacular new cocktail menu inspired by each of the 12 Chinese zodiac signs. After nine months in the making, it’s a real labour of love. So what does this astrologically themed menu say about our destiny? For starters, rather than mythical characters and creatures, the Chinese zodiac is based on animals so you’ll find yourself sipping on a Pig, Dog or Dragon tipple.
Each of the cocktails is based on the sign’s unique traits – the Horse is about ‘vitality’ so you’ll discover a healthy(ish) concoction with Absolut Elyx Vodka, Kamm & Sons, carrot juice, guarana, lemon and celery. If you’re a Pig, your sign is about ‘love’ and you’ll find a sweet romantic treat comprising Saliza Amaretto, strawberry, white chocolate and almond milk.

Opium is all about the theatrical spectacle so you can bet your bottom dollar their zodiac cocktails look as good as they taste. The bar has worked in partnership with Hackney Wick-based madcap ceramicists, Bespoke Barware to create the most beautiful animal drinking receptacles.
