This new gate in Chinatown London has been built in the traditional Qing Dynasty way – with three tiers and two pillars. Look closely and you’ll see the glazed yellow tiles, a golden dragon and painted panels – all signature marks of this style. And all created and made by Chinese architects and artisans.

Normally reserved for royal palaces, it was fitting, then, that we had Prince Andrew, Duke of York, officially open it with Chinese Ambassador Liu Xiaoming!
