Fun fact: Japanese style fast food actually earned its fame thanks to Yoshinoya, a super-popular chain established in 1899. Long before McDonald’s was a twinkle in Ronald’s eye. Since its opening – in China particularly – perception started to thankfully shift amongst the populace that Japanese cuisine = sushi. Put simply, Yoshinoya are the masters of insanely tasty yet quick-to-cook dishes. Forget Jamie Oliver as king of the 15-minute-meal.

Their signature beef with rice dish has attracted millions of fans by its ease to prepare and mouth-watering taste. In just 15 minutes, you can create your own Yoshinoya-style beef with rice at home. So why not treat yourself with some warmth this winter.

Method:

Step 1

Shred the onion, split the ginger in two halves.
