Get on a literary-tip as China in Context arrives at China Exchange

Calling all language-lovers, check out the China in Context literary festival at China Exchange

China Exchange welcomes Far Eastern literary fair, China in Context on Friday 12th – Sunday 14th May. The exciting three-day event is a celebration of writers and writing from and about China. It will play host to a wealth of talks, activities, a book fair along with plenty to keep kids happy too.

From historical tomes to contemporary pop culture books, peruse over 1000 titles at the expertly curated book fair in conjunction with Cypress Books, open each day of the event. If you’ve ever fancied being a building bard, drop into the How to be a Poet in 60 Minutes masterclass with award winning poets, Jennifer Wong and Mary Jean Chan on the Saturday.

Take a tour through China and learn how journeys throughout the country fuelled writing processes and created narrative arcs at the China On Foot panel discussion or join in a dynamic seminar exploring the expanding opportunities for literary exchange between China and the UK.

Smaller visitors will delight in the shadow puppet making workshop in conjunction with Hatching Dragons, the UK’s first full immersive Mandarin-English daycare provider.
