Dr Trude Sundberg brings her wisdom and experience in building inclusive LGBTQ+ communities in China to a unique discussion at China Exchange. Part of the event space’s new Elements Programme initiative, Belonging in Beijing: LGBTQ+ In China will explore what shapes LGBTQ+ identities in China in 2017.

As Lecturer of Social Policy at the University of Kent, Dr Sundberg co-founded Q-Space, a Beijing-based centre conceived to promote inclusive communities for LGBTQ+ groups in China. Q-Space collaborates with various artists, academics and makers to share ideas and impart skills that help expand minds and improve lives.

China Exchange’s new Elements Programme is a monthly schedule of exciting, thought-provoking talks on a diverse variety of subjects with a direct connection to China.
