International Women’s Day Zoom Panel: #StrongAsAWoman
On Sunday 14th March at 5pm, Jenny Lau of Celestial Peach will host an intimate women’s circle wrapping up Chinatown London’s weeklong celebration of International Women’s Day 2021.
Jenny Lau has curated a panel of respected female leaders and business owners from Chinatown London, as well as women from the wider East and South-East Asian community. She will moderate a discussion about what it means to be a strong and successful woman in her own right, the way in which heritage and cultural identity plays into gender roles, and how women can support and lift other women in the ESEA community.
Confirmed guests include:

Vera Chok, London-based actor and writer who recently wrote RICE!, a unique culinary theatre experience that tells the story of migration, the delicate existence of life between two cultures and the food that shapes it.
Florence Mae Magnaloc, Founder of Mamasons, a Filipino dessert parlour in Chinatown London and Kentish Town.
Dr Stephanie Jen Chyi Ooi, mum, doctor at MyHealthcare Clinic and co-host of The Medic Mum Podcast – a podcast that is all about family, health and well-being.
